Nara-Hari play review

Watched Nara-Hari, a Kannada play at Ravindra Kalakhetra. Synopsis:- 'Nara-Hari', a first-of-its-kind play, is all about the ancient story of Narasimha, and a reflection of the present-day society and polity. It is also about the legend of Hiranyaksha (the demon with the golden eye) and his brother Hiranyakashipu, and about modern power-play where wealth, including gold, lords over all and induces many to possess it any cost and through any means, including theft.      In this  vicious power-play, even education, morals, relationships and deaths are used as pawns or dices. Old concepts merge with new ideas. The play depicts how science, piety, and laws are misused for nefarious ends, how development of science and production of weapons for defence are misused for offence and ever-increasing desire to swindle others' wealth.
